Different spaces affect the way we write music as they affect the way the music sounds/feels.
People used to move away and towards the mic to create reverb before we had devices for it.
Using samples from other spaces around the world to add lots of reverb on music.
Went to out of use oil tanks to get almost the longest reverb ever recorded.
