Personal Project Plan Final

For my personal project, I'm going to write, record and release a 14 track album which I will promote using social medias such as Youtube, Facebook and then mainly Instagram. I am going to play in all of the real instruments using a free DAW called Bandlab. I will also use this for MIDI tracks that I want to add to make the sound closer to what I want. My dad will program the drums in using a drum machine available on Bandlab. I will also use this DAW to mix and master my tracks (Bandlab has an AI mastering feature). I want to use Bandlab due to the fact that I can use it at home and at college which allows me more freedom time wise to make it exactly how I want to.  My target market for this album are people aged around 15 - 25. I want people to know my lyrics as they are important to me in my own songs as well as other people's songs. To help with this, I've been adding captions to videos of my performances on social media. In order to make this album, I'll need the ...

Collaborative Project - EP w/Madison

See technical roles collaborative project here See Tyler collaborative project here Project (with Madison Kent): Create and release an EP with a music video. The EP will have three songs: 'Separated by Water', 'When I'm With You' and 'Meadows and Graves'.  Two songs were written by Madison (Separated by Water and When I'm With You) and the third song we wrote together (Meadows and Graves). I found it difficult as we had to communicate everything we were doing so we remained on the same page. This process meant that it took a lot longer to write the song which I found difficult as, when writing by myself, I do everything very quickly. Something we compromised on was the melody as Madison wanted to add harmonies and so we kept the melody more simple as to make this easier.  To prepare for recording, we practised for gigs and ...

Luna Light Christmas Concert

I wanted to do one of my own songs at the Christmas concert but I don't have a band to perform with and so, there wouldn't be enough people on stage. Dan mentioned one day about us playing our own projects at folk group and so I decided to write violin parts for my song "Luna Light" so that I would be able to play it not only at the Christmas concert but also as like a full on thing with a whole arrangement which I thought would be really epic and cool.  I started by writing parts for two violins and I was originally going to do this by recording them with MIDI onto my Bandlab project but I soon realised that I wasn't good enough at timing to do this and so I instead wrote it straight onto sheet music using Musescore on my computer which was much simpler for me to use.  I didn't have the violins come in until the pre chorus as I didn't think they were needed until then and that's when the song really starts to build and I had them play staccato crotch...
